How a leader is defined
For each exact standard set, the provider with the highest recipient amount is a winner; equal amounts are ties. Results are then rolled up only with their eligible check count.
This is not a score for support, safety, speed or route breadth.
Why denominators matter
In the selected sample, some providers had more than one thousand eligible checks while a focused service had fewer than one hundred. A high percentage from narrow coverage cannot be treated as broad dominance.
We keep providers with different payout methods out of the same set, even when that reduces apparent coverage.
Use leadership as a shortlist
A provider that often led an exact corridor is reasonable to check first. The current recipient amount and eligibility still decide the transaction.
Review pages should show the dates, routes, methods, wins, ties and losses—not a floating score detached from evidence.
How this result was produced
Eligible rows used high or medium confidence and an API or HTML source. We retained one provider row per exact key using confidence, source quality and recipient amount, then required at least two providers.
